RANGE
This safety and protective footwear has been selected to offer a comprehensive range of styles allied to modern manufacturing methods which are suitable for all working conditions.
SAFETY STANDARDS
Safety footwear conforming to EN ISO 20345:2011 standards give 200 Joule toe protection. The EN ISO 20345 standard for safety footwear has been updated in 2022, superseding the previous 2011 update. Slip Resistance has now been considered mandatory, therefore all safety footwear passing the 2022 standards is slip resistant. There is an option for an additional slip test to be carried out, which will be marked with an SR symbol. A new Scuff Cap Abrasion test has been added to establish the capabilities of protecting the toe cap. Also a Ladder Grip test assesses the footwear on ladder rungs to a firefighter standard. Please note that the tests for Puncture Resistance has changed to differentiate between steel and non-metallic plates (see notes for P, PL and PS in the tables). Please note that the 2011 certifcation is still valid, so the standards will run side by side until all safety footwear is re-tested to the new standards. No official end date has been given to the 2011 standards.
ESD - Electro Static Dissipative Footwear: ESD Footwear is designed specifically for the electronic components manufacturing and assembly industries. ESD conforms to EN 61340-5-1.
Occupational Footwear: Occupational Footwear conforms to EN ISO 20347:2012 standards.
EXTREME SIZES
Some styles are available in extra large sizes.
SLIP RESISTANCE
SR - New 2022 rating to replace SRA, SRB & SRC. Tested on a ceramic tile surface with glycerine. The heel & forepart has also been tested, not just the flat.
SRA - Tested on ceramic tile contamination with Sodium Lauryl Sulphate.
SRB - Tested on smooth steel contamination with glycerol.
SRC - Passes both SRA and SRB Slip Tests.
EYEWEAR
All of our eyewear offer UV filter 99% absorption and meets the following standard: CE EN166:2001
